This film is must-see for those ones who like watching retro-comedies: it was shot in 1973 but told about the USA of 1930's. The Sting is considered to be one of the best movies ever, it has got 7 Oscars and it continues to give a joy to everyone who watches it thanks to the wonderful actors' duet - Robert Redford and Paul Newman.

Johnny Hooker and Henry Gondorff are two experienced cheaters who plan a very crafty sting in order to receive money from a famous New York gangster Doyle Lonnegan: it is appeared to be that Lonnegan kills their friend and parner, so these two men want to revenge the gangster for the death of their friend.
The story begins with the fact Johnny Hooker robs a man in order to share money with all his partners but that man was the one who worked for Doyle Lonnegan, a big crime-boss. Lonnegan is angry with this and he sends two men to kill Johnny and his friends: they kill Coleman (one of Hooker's friends) and Hooker goes to Chicago to ask Henry Gondorff for his help.
